It's a testament to what can be achieved when past meets future, when nostalgia meets innovation. I wholeheartedly recommend this triumph of a remastered classic. It's a journey, an adventure, a call to action that echoes through the silent nights of Gotham. 'Metroid Prime Remastered - Nintendo Switch' is more than a game. The narrative unfolds with compelling gravity, pulling you in, much like the story of this city I guard. The gameplay experience is fluid and immersive, providing a robust challenge that even a protector of Gotham can appreciate. Each detail, each movement, each challenge brought to life on the Nintendo Switch is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that I, too, appreciate in my own arsenal. The graphic enhancement in this remastered version is a testament to the capabilities of modern technology, breathing new life into the classic game while maintaining its original spirit. As Samus Aran traverses through alien landscapes, it's akin to navigating the labyrinthine alleyways of Gotham, filled with danger and uncertainty, yet teeming with opportunity and adventure. It merely awaits the right moment to re-emerge, stronger, brighter, and more impressive than ever before. This remastered edition of a timeless classic proves that true quality never fades. 'Metroid Prime Remastered - Nintendo Switch' is such a beacon, casting its glow with admirable potency. In the depths of Gotham's nights, there is a need for things that cut through the darkness, that bring a glimmer of light, a spark of entertainment, and a touch of nostalgia. I like that Nintendo made this game cheaper than most others because it is a port, and I really hope they release Metroid Prime 2 next because I'll be first in line to buy it. Amazon did a good job restocking this game after the initial wave of orders. Overall: I bought the physical copy and am very happy with it. Of course you can pick the normal difficulty mode too if you want that classic challenge. While I loved the difficulty of the original game I felt it really spiked at the very end so it's been nice to have an easier ride through this time. Sound: No changes to the audio or sound effects, they're just as good as you remember it.ĭifficulty: There's a new casual game mode which so far feels a lot easier. But I want to stress that like 99% of the game looks perfect, and it really is these minor edge cases where you sometimes see a little weirdness. I don't know if it's an oversight but you do wonder how QA didn't catch this. There are a few visual effects which don't look right, such as lava sticking to your visor when you jump out of a pool of lava. The game runs at 1080P at 60 FPS all the time. It's not like other cheap HD ports where they only updated parts of the game inconsistently. Visuals: All the textures and models have been remade for the game and they look fantastic. While hardly anyone will use this, I do wish the developers supported it. GC to Switch adapter, but while it works there's some button (map button?) you can't access. I have heard that you can use an original GC controller through the Smash Bros. I use the Pro controller and I'd say it's like 8/10ths as good of a feeling as it was on the GC controller back in the day. You have to pick from some pre-defined templates. The developers did a superb job.Ĭontrols: It has a few control schemes but none of them have the same feel as the Gamecube controller, and you can't freely assign buttons.
